Cobra In the News

June 3rd 2009

(European Youth International Motocross Championship)

This weekend Team Cobra Kahrke MX ran the 3rd race in the UEM (European Youth International Motocross Championship) in Siauliai, Lithuania Eastern Europe. This is by far the fastest Motocross championship out side Loretta Lynn's,Mini o's and so on.

"The Ferry resigned on Thursday afternoon. We arrived at the track around lunch on Friday and the track survey was good. The journey began, however, already on Wednesday when I was down in Denmark and pick up a new Cobra CX 65 with Hampus.

At the last round down in Romania Hampus's KTM broke the engine block. Since March we have contiplating the U.S. brand Cobra and after much discussion and thought and frustration with our KTM Hampus desided to run Cobra 65cc rest of the year with no regrets.

Testing on the Cobra happened about 30 minutes at home on the street on Thursday and the first time Hampus drove on the track was in first free practice on Saturday. Despite the above Hampus had the 6th fastest time in time qualification.

In the first heat it was a great start crash with about 20 drivers with many top drivers involved bla Hampus. Han körde . He drove, however strong and picked many placements and finished 14th in heat.

In the other heat it was about the same, Hampus out in the end but ran back up to the top, 9a. The track was very dusty hard pack with many big jumps.

With placements 14-9, Hampus rode very well in the competition and climbed in the overall result of the UEM for 6th place after 3 races out of seven rounds"
